Why Now?

Pender County is at a Crossroads.

Pender County is changing fast, and residents are feeling it. Traffic is worse, schools are overcrowded, and water and sewer systems are under strain.

These problems do not fix themselves. They take planning, common sense budgeting, and leaders who put residents first when making decisions about roads, schools, and public services.

This is not the time for on the job training. Pender County needs steady leadership that will protect our way of life, keep taxes low, respect taxpayer dollars, and make sure development never outpaces the county’s ability to serve the people who already live here.

The Tate Plan

1.png

Infrastructure First

Pipes before permits.
Water and sewer systems must be in place and working before new development is approved so current residents are not left paying the price.

Protect Pender County

Protect what makes Pender, Pender.

Enforcing the Land Use Plan to protect rural communities, farmland, and neighborhood character, while holding development to clear, enforceable standards.

Schools and Public Safety

Put families first.

Careful oversight of the $178 million school bond, strong support for our Sheriff’s Office and first responders, and responsible budgeting that protects services without raising taxes.
